"I..." Lunetta hesitated for a moment, "I come from the Pale Shore," she stated without fear. "And if you have a spare room, I would so like to stay. The inn could be filled with cruel, frightening people..." It was unusual and improper for her to make that descission, but Lunetta was unusual and improper herself. "Will you take me to your home? I am weary," She spoke as though she had just met him, and most likely, he would not remember the few conscious moments he had known her before. ((Here's an old picture of her. I need to re-draw her. ptsluvsnfl.deviantart.com/art/Lunetta-of-the-Pale-Shore-66047018))

"Yo may stay."He gave a warming, drunk smile. He lead her to his home, and when he unlocked the door, a dog rushed towards him, licking his face and what not. The dog limped after that greeting (he could taste the beer)((xD)) "Im sorry this room is very bare, but i dont plan on living here long and you know how the king always creates more tax laws"He sighed as he lit a candle in the room. The flame etched light in most places, but where a red glow did not reach the moons rays illuminated from the the long and narrow windows. The rooms was empty except for a small bookcase, a matress and blanket on the floor, and atable with worn wooden chairs. The cold wooden floor and many makeshift rugs of various cloths stitched together. What was the most discreet in the room, however, was a beautiful fireplace of stone. Wryler lit the fireplace and suddenly the room became warm.

((that poor dog)) Lunetta sat down, "Oh yes... the king..." She sounded a bit confused but tried to act as though she understood him, "so what do you do for work?" She spoke very plainly, allowing neither curiousity or suspiscion into her tone. ((I know I spelled stuff wrong. I'm on someone else's computer and I'm too lazy to correct errors.))

Walking (more like wobbling) towards the fire place he spoke "I take on various jobs where needed, most often just a local merchant between two close cities." He seemed a bit sober now. "I make good money, but the taxes eat it aaaaall -hic- up!" Maybe not as sober as it seemed. "Very interesting stuff i ave' seen in the past few year of trading."He blanked out for a moment, then bade a good night. He stumble as he walked out of the room.

The next morning, Lunetta cooked breakfast. While she waited for Wryler to wake up, she opened the front door and scratched something into the door under the knob. ((partial writer's block))

((i smell deceit =p)) Wryler slowly got up from bed has the sound of his own breathing pierced his ears. As he got dressed, he tried to remember what occured last night. As he walked into the common room and was, for a moment, slightly shocked that someone was there. That is of course, until he remembered. "Good morn" He held his hands on his forehead as if he was dizzy.

Lunetta came in with a boquet of buttercups, "Good morning to you," She smiled. Her large amount of hair was in two thick braids behind her shoulders and her sleeves were rolled up. "Are you hungry? I used some of your bread, but I bought the meat myself,"

"Very hungry."He tried to smile but it hurt his brain (XD I was gonna say face but that sounded funnier =d)) "Its alright, meat is more expensive anyways."He took a bite. "Did you sleep well?"

"Oh yes," Lunetta glanced toward the door. Getting a devious thought, she asked, "May I watch you at work today?"

"Today?" He contemplated for a moment. This time of the year there were many demands for local traders and most of those trades were not neccessarily 'Empire approved'. "Alright, but you'll have to do a bit of walking."His thoughts were begining to plan out in his head. ((Is he good or bad? you will just have to find out... =d))

"I am quite used to walking," The girl stated. She set the bouquet in a tin of water, puting it in the window, "when are we leaving?" ((depending on who's hiring her, she could be good sometimes, but bad at others. Assassin or bounty hunter; either one))

"Not long, right now i guess. I need to deliver something and bring goods back. But I have fairly good leisure time if you want to stay in the neighboring city for a while."He gave a faint smile.

"I will go with you, then. If you are leaving now, then you should lead the way," ((a bit of writer's block there. My sister just had a baby tonight! ^^))

Grabbing his cloak, Wryler opened the door alloweing Lunetta to pass. As he was exiting his dog quickly followed, as routine. They headed first towards the tavern. The streets were still damp from the nights rain as the air was clean and fresh. "Are ou familiar with these parts?"Wryler broke the silence of only the dogs panting.

"No," Lunetta gave reply.
Somewhere down the road, a horse had run away with its master's wagon. It ran fiercely toward them at an increasing speed, but it was yet far away. Lunetta went on Wryler's other side, which moved him closer to the middle of the street. She took his hand. "You have interesting hands..." she stated. As she had thought, they weren't work-hardened; but ones that felt crafty and would be quick in movement. His own hands had betrayed his disguise. The wild horse drew closer, but it wasn't yet in hearing range... not for humans, that is.

"Thank you?" Wryler chuckled a bit in his mind, never hearing a comment such as that. He smiled. Trying to building conversation once more he inquired(SP?) "What is your proffesion?" (( Slow day for me, i cant think -__- happy Late Christmas by the way! Im just filling up space too keep me from falling asleep xD))

((It feels really weird making her flirt so much. XD)) "I am in need of work for the time being," Lunetta answered, still holding his hand. It was that instant after the horse came over the hill and raced toward them that she let go and jumped to the side, having been ready for it. "Wryler!" She cried, almost too soon.

Moving quickly to the side, and landing in a puddle, Wryler turned around and sighed in releif that his dog was safe. "Thanks" His voice was a bit shaky as the adrenaline rushed through him.

Lunetta blinked, but didn't show anything on her face; not anything at all. She reached down to help him up, "I have never seen someone who can move so quickly..." ((lol, she's basically saying "aw, darn! I didn't know you could escape that one!"))

(xD I love how she speaks.)) "Well, just luck I suppose." His breathing began to slow down but the shakyness in his voice stayed the same.
