The 'heathens' danced a good time, getting the attention of several people. After several minutes, Pyro became bored and ran over to the tables adorned with beautiful decorations, fruits, and wine. Pyro glanced around to find no one around. Soon, the floor was covered with wine. Several people slipped as they tried to dance. Pyro wipped his hand off on a cloth in a digified way as though he were some gentleman, -it was unfortunate he was wiping it on a tablecloth. Finding much attention on him, Pyro dived under the table, hoping Jirynd would do something so as to put attention on himself.

Jumping up on the platform the band preformed from, Jirÿnd called the attention of all the dancers to himself, calling thus:
"Good people, we come together in celebration, an anticipation for the long sought peace between our lords. Tonight we honor this holy marriage between our lands that shall bring healing to our hearts and set our minds at ease. No longer shall our prayers go up, knocking on heaven's door, beseeching our loved one's safe arrival from the terrors of war! Drink now in their favor: Long live thefealty!" Raising his own glass, Jirÿnd took a deep drought of his drink. Happily enough, they echoed, 'Long live the feality' and drake of what ever they had handy. Tossing his cup aside, Jirÿnd said with a low bow to the audience, "Now I give the young lord's daughter the privilege of a dance. Where might you be, so that you may dance with me?"

Ellie heard Jirÿnd and cursed him, she was going to have to work even faster than before. She was quickly dressed in her outfit. She heard the horse get wild. She held a finger to her face and made a sushing sound. Then she went to Fiona's stall and led the horse out. Swiftly she started to saddle the horse and get her prepared for their journey. Once everything was secure, and she had her bridle on she had to do one last thing. She pulled her hair out of it's hold and it fell down. She then picked up her dagger and started the process of cutting her hair. She winced as she saw the hair fall, but she didn't stop. Once it was short she led the horse out of the stable. She hopped on and started the horse at full gallop, jumping over the fence that seperated the field from the stable. She knew that she was going to have to run like the devil was on her heels to get far enough away to be safe.

While that was being said, Pyro sneaked behind the band and pulled a lyre from one of the musicians. He began playing a mourning tune with his one hand and the rest of the band, thinking it was a cue, followed it. The people all stood wide-eyed, wondering why such grim music for such a happy occasion. It was then that they noticed the wine seeping around their feet...

Several ladies had come forward, more than merry for an occasion to claim such a lofty title for themselves. Looking them over, Jirÿnd thoughtfully placed one hand on his chin, the other on his hip. Glancing over them all, he murmured, "There's no way to tell which is the true daughter..." Throwing his hands up, he exclaimed, "I'll just have to dance with you all!"
"Blood! There's blood!!" A voice screamed, interrupting Jirÿnd's worse nightmare. Heaving a thankful sign, he quickly hopped off of the platform and dove in between the people, glad to have been able to escape from that dreadful torment.

Pyro sprawled out on the ground in the 'blood', his eyes closed. "Oh no! Is he dead?" A girl fainted. "He's still breathing!" "Poor dear! -He dance with me!" "He danced with me also!" "He danced with both of my daughters!" "Dear heavens, he has danced with everyone..." Pyro tried hard not to laugh. ((I couldn't resist!))

((Oh so evil...)) Ellie heard the commotion at the ball and smiled. She quickly slowed her horse down, seeing that she was safe... or so she thought. ~~~~ Ellie's maid came downstairs after hearing the commotion. She searched the crowd for her Lord's daughter, but didn't see her. She let out a scream, "THE LADY ELLANORE ISN'T HERE! SHE'S BEEN KIDNAPPED!" Immeadiatly Ellie's father, the lord, stood up fast. "But that's blasphamous! WHY WOULD KIDNAP MY DAUGHTER AND RUIN THIS LAND'S PEACE!" He was really angry... he knew that something must be done to find her immeadiatly.

(( *rofl* ))
Without hesitation, Jirÿnd came and stood over the corps in a hero's pose. Amiss the chaos and havoc that had ensued, he proclaimed, "Indeed, fair maidens, he is dead." and pursued to carry Pyro. Be it thus: he was too heavy to be carried by the light-framed Jirÿnd. He couldn't even get his body off of the floor. "Must you be so heavy?" He whispered into his play mate's ear. Giving the crowd of onlookers an awkward grin, Jirÿnd grabbed one of Pyro's ankles and began dragging him along the floor toward the exit, spreading a path of wine all along the way.

((Pyro ain't that heavy. He's a short and scrawny shrimp. 'course, he's heavy for Jirynd though.)) The funeral music played again by a sympathetic band of musicians, both for the missing maiden and the man who had somehow died without notice. Pyro's eye slid open, and he saw the lit candles on the chandelere above him. He screamed suddenly and slapped himself hard in the face before jumping to his feet and running out the door like he was being chased by death itself. He tripped somewhere down the road and turned a complete summersault before landing on his chin and laying there, laughing in spite of himself.

Pyro had caused an uproar, springing up like that after announced to be dead. Several more ladies fainted, and several more men were more than glad to catch them. Once he was clear gone, the attention shifted to Jirÿnd. Patting a nervous rhythm at his pants, Jirÿnd smiled awkwardly at all of their scowling faces, gave a quick bow and raced after Pyro. "Wait, wait! Wait for meeeee!!" He called, running down the road as fast as he could.
Once out of the bright light's range, Jirÿnd slowed to a comfortable pace. Chuckling to himself, he brushed off his sleeves and straitened his vest. Filling his lungs with the clear, forest air, Jirÿnd gladly took off his mask and continued to stride down the way.
Recognizing a great heap on the road as none other than the risen heathen Jirÿnd had shared a night of chaos with, he approached the man with a more somber tone. "You seem experienced in such wild ways, sir." Jirÿnd said, standing over him with his hands behind his back and a little smile playing along his now visable features, "Tell me, are you quite drunk yet?"

"I did not have time to take a drink tonight, -I meant to, but I thought that the moment was too uncertain to wait before spilling it all on the floor! Beside that, I do not think I need any wine, do you? I am quite mad enough without being drunk. I am probably drunk on my own madness." Pyro glanced up at Jirynd, not able to see him well in the darkness, "I suspect I will never be able to see what you really look like unless I see you at the next party. I would need daylight to see your face. I regret I am quite blind in this moonlight." Pyro stood and grasped the man's hand, "My name is... Pyro, friend,"

(( That's not really his name! xP ))
Warmly shaking the man's hand, he said, "These people know me as Jirÿnd, though I have answered to other names in the past." Giving Pyro a good pat on the back, Jirÿnd turned with him down the road so that they might speak together while making distance from the miserable ball. "How long have you been in this land? I can not say I have seen you before, even in the town. I have been here but a short while myself, and if I might be recognized by a fellow in that masquerade, I can not say how much longer I shall dwell here." He gave a good hearted laugh, though there was truth in what he said.

((I'm not about to say it here! His name is special to me, -you'll have to read the book! XD His real name is too long to pronounce so he usually gives people nicknames to call him by)) "Truly, I know not my way. I have travelled about for a time now. This does not look like my native land though." Looking around, "I must have crossed a border. I have yet to see much of the world. This is a merchant town, no?" He pulled off the cloak and mask. Perhaps Jirynd could see him in the light of the moon; his thin, tanned, face, his short nose, his large eyes. -though one could have seen them with the mask on, they were just more noticeable when see together on his face. Pyro also removed the cloak. He was wearing a peasant's tunic made in a way unknown to these lands. He was definately foriegn here. It was now obvious that under his cloak, his left arm was tied to his waist behind his back.

Noticing Pyro's tied arm, Jirÿnd said, "That is a queer thing you have done to yourself. Might I inquire of it? Even if it were not for your attire, I would know you were of a foreign land. In these parts, a man slings his arm in the front when he has injured it."
It didn't look at all comfortable, and even more so, Jirÿnd wondered how Pyro had even been able to tie himself in such a way. Perhaps he had received help from another?

Pyro chuckled, "It is not that my arm is injured; -it has a will of its own sometimes and I like to keep in control of my body!" He pinched his bound arm as he said this, "tell me, has it turned white? I cannot see well in the dark and it may have been tied too tightly."

Ellie wondered what was going on at the party. She sighed and sat down in the middle of the woods. She wondered if there was a way to remain incospicious. Then she remembered that she had forgotten something at the stables... her bow and arrow for hunting. So, sighing, she headed back towards the stable, trying to be quieter this time. Her horse went for a gallop to jump the fence, making a noise as she landed. Then she headed back into the stable. She hopped off her horse and started to look around for her bow and arrow. She then saw the horse that had made a ruckas earlier and she groaned inwardly. She just hoped that the horse would remain quiet...

The steed flattened his ears and made a low whinny to Fiona the mare. He grabbed the lock with his teeth and unlatched it without Ellie's notice and waited for her to turn her back... ((hehe)) "Oh!" Pyro gasped suddenly, "I forgot my horse!" He started to run back toward the estate stables... ((what good timing!))

Ellie then spotted her bow and arrow near by in the tack room. She then headed straight towards it hoping to get out as soon as she could. She had to turn her back to her mare, but she trusted Fiona and knew that she would stay put.
Fiona saw the other horse, and just rolled her eyes... ((is that even possible for a horse?! lol)) She kept her eyes on Ellie and her ears were perked, ready to detect the slightest sound.

Pyro burst into the stables headlong, throwing his heels forward to stop before running into Ellie, sliding on the hay, and landing hard on his bum. He had an awkward but pained smile on his face as he laughed at himself. The stallion in the stall jumped, frightened by his sudden appearance. After a few moments of thrashing about, he perked his ears, noticing who the young man was for the first time. He then gingerly pushed the stall door with his nose and walked out, turning his head toward the mare as he walked toward his rider. "Ah! Mercury!" The horse put his head down, and Pyro ruffled his forelock, fussing over the beast as though he were a big dog.

Ellie eyed the person that had just ran into the stables warily. Then she grabbed her bow and arrows and ran towards her horse. She jumped onto the horse and had the horse start to gallop away. ((Remeber... she looks like a guy with her now short hair...))
