This is between Linnea and myself (the reason that she even joined Toborri), and that's really all there is about it though. Oh, I don't mind, and I'm pretty sure Linnea feels the same way, having a few lurkers come here and read our roleplay. So here we go!!! Linnea must post first

(( Mehehe... so I have your permission to spy on you? How exhilarating. +stalks+ I hope I don't intimidate you, Linnea If I scare you, just get Ken and Dan to chase me with their chainsaw and shotgun. You can even confiscate my formidable light saber/wet noddle/rolled-up-newspaper weapons if that would make you more comfortable xD ))

OoC;; Haha! Nah, I'm used to intimidating crazy people; I grew up with Kay and Jordie after all. And after them, it's hard to find someone scarier (though my brothers can definitely compete).
Besides, I would much rather be the one chasing you with the chainsaws and shotguns. Or my killer penguin army of doom. (They're very loyal.) Watching from the sidelines is no fun.

(( Haha! xD Oh, we'll get along splendidly. I'll hold off on the coronation ceremonies... I'd rather not see those ferocious little beasts of yours quite yet. ))

OoC;; Ok, true. I didn't grow up with her, but Iliana is equally scary, and when you put those three together, especially with Nike and Aly, you have the scariest group of misfits alive. XD Then you add me in; not sure if I count on the scary part, though. Those three will have to decide that.

Slamming of locker doors. Voices intwine with the rest. Books hit desks. And laughter rings throughout the room. The barage of noises hits Blair more than anything else. Sight? Not of use to Blair. Yeah... normally blind people don't have any use for sight.
Blair sat a desk, her friends were sitting nearby. Jonathan, right beside her and Samantha was behind her. They were hanging out before school started, and right then Blair was just spacing.
She didn't really feel like being at school, even though the open Brail History book was open to where they were supposed to read next. She heard some voices in the hallway mention something about a new kid.
"Jonathan, is there really a new kid out there? I hear some people mentioning something about a new kid."

"How many times do I have to tell you?" Jonathan snapped, feigning frustration. "It's not Jonathan this quarter; it's H.K! You know, Hal K! He was in more than two hundred productions on and off the stage in the thirties through the fifties! Please tell me you know who H.K. is!"
The theatrical psycho continued his rant, though this was no act; he truly was as crazy as he sounded. Having been raised by a drama instructor and his overzealous wife, everything was about theater; he believe he was the next Zach Efron of the Broadway world. Often, his entire life was a performance.
Rarely would he let people see the true Jonathan "Name of the Quarter Here" Cooper; his select group of friends- Samantha and Blair- were the only two people alive to see the real him. Not that he minded; often his true self was much stranger that the characters he portrayed.
"And yeah," he answered, letting the bravado drop. "Word is his name's Micah; haven't seen him yet."

Samantha nodded, "Yeah, isn't he the king of rock and roll?" Her answer was sarcastic, but really that's how she always was... the sarcastic goth. Her hair color, not really of choice, was a natural black. She had her nails painted black, and she had on a plain black baby-tee, black cargo pants, and black converse shoes.
She knew that the answer was wrong, she had heard Johnathan's rant many a time. "That or he invented the Internet. Either way, I'm not calling you H.K... I'll just stick with Coop or Jonathan." She turned to Blair, taking on another conversation wondering what all Blair had picked up about the new kid.
"Okay, what all are they saying? The usual, 'sit with us, we want to be your friends!' crap?" ~~~~~~~~~ Blair nodded, that really was all there was to it. The usual jargon of a small school's teens trying to get the new kid to hang with us. "Some girls are calling him cute... some say he's extremely hot. While I heard pray tell a few say he looks different. A lot of fuss over who will be his friend and to have him sit with them at lunch today. Pretty much the usual." He tone said that she was bored with it, and not really as interested as the others. It would just be yet another person that would behave like there was something horribly wrong with her and that if they didn't treat her a certain way, she would just explode.
Which was the exact reason why she was friends with Jonathan and Samantha... they pretty much ignored her blindness, and acted almost like she could see. She didn't really mind... she never knew sight, so the fact that they could see and she had to live with descriptions that made no sense to her didn't bother her in the least. In fact it made her love them all the more.

Jonathan scoffed, ignoring his best friend's snide remarks and instead answering . "He's new; the girls must be behaving like savage dogs of war and the guys are probably ostracizing him or attacking. Should we extend a hand of friendship to a less," he hesitated, searching for the right word. "Ravenous group?" ---
Chaos. Pure chaos. That's normal for a high school, right? Right. This goes to show that Polar High is not a normal high school. Everyone knows everyone, and drama? Here, drama is an argument over the school play casting.
Needless to say, junior Micah Williams was way out of his element, and it showed. Coming from a class of 1500 to a class of 57 had its own set of confusion, right?
He wandered the hallways, people greeting him right and left. Girls tended to follow a bit more closely, apparently intruiged by the new meat. Awkward, right? Absolutely.
((Ok, so I'm kind of disappointed in this intro. xD But I do like having Coop around. He's a complete nut, but I can have fun switching language styles and such for his 'dramatic effects'.))

Blair shrugged, a guesture that she had learned over the years. "I'm impartial to this one." Really she didn't care, she had better get over the awkward, 'your blind?' introduction over with. ~~~~~~~ Samantha nodded, "I'll do it. You will just scare him off before we get him over here." The insult was directed to Coop, but it was meant in a good natured way, and by then she knew her friends were used to her manner and way of talking.
Standing up she began to walk out of the room. "I'll be right back... I have to walk around for a second and find him." She walked out and wandered down the hall for a moment. Right before she turned, she saw the new kid. "Hey! Newbie, come over here!" Her voice said the words so that it was known that it was more of an order than a choice.

Micah could feel his eyebrows arch underneath his shaggy, dark blonde hair, but he obliged; no need making enemies his first day. "Hey," he muttered, freaked out by the goth girl's sudden appearance (and astounding power for demands). "I'm Micah."

Samantha nodded, "I already knew that. Congratulations, your the talk of the school kid." She leaned over, trying to see if his schedule would be visible. "What do you have first hour? It's probably American History... about half the class has that this hour, and I've heard that your a jounior."
She really wasn't talking much... she just had to warm him up to Coop's barage of questions. That would be difficult for Micah to handle. "By the way I'm Sam." ((She hates her real name... come on.. who has seriously heard of a goth girl liking Samantha?))

"Great," he muttered under his breath. "Yeah, it is American History. What's this place like, anyway?" In a way, Micah was relieved to have found someone that didn't hate him or look at him like her new obsession. "Aside from being insanely quiet."
Nothing about this school was like his old one; every year in a big city school, it was almost like being a new student all over again; you could have classes with people you had never met before without any shock. Here, one new student was the talk of the town.

Samantha rolled her eyes. "It's school. Now, just follow me and I can take you to the classroom, where hopefully you won't be attacked... it won't be so bad since your with me, but just ignore the preps." She began walking back the way she had come, heading straight towards her chair in the room. She pointed to the seat beside her, and behind Jonathan, making a motion for him to sit. down.
"Okay guys, this is Micah." ~~~~~~~~ Blair nodded, following Sam's voice so that she had an idea where he was at. "Nice to meet you... I'm Blair." She held out her hand to shake his, really she did this not for the formality, but so that she could get to know the person by the feel of his or her hand.

"Hey," Micah answered, his grip warm and firm as her shook her hand. The boy in front of him turned around and smiled at him, his eyes eager.
"Hey man, I'm H.K. Nice to meet you," Jonathan said, not bothering to pause for breath. "I don't suppose you've been involved in the theater before? Polar's got an amazing drama team; you should be involved. This year we're doing the Wizard of Oz. A classic, an oldie but goodie. It's really an awesome storyline, but not enough music for my taste, though many of the characters do get solos. And the monkeys!" He gasped, taking in a short gulp of air. "They make the entire show worth it!" After pausing for all of two seconds, he launched into a full on humming solo of 'The Monkey Song' as he called it, better known for being the flying monkeys' theme from the movie.

Blair smiled at Micah, and then turned to Jonathan. "That sounds pretty interesting..." she made a face, "I can't sing though." She didn't really feel the need to say a thing about her being blind... it really wouldn't be a problem. She had, in past experiences, memorized where the objects were and got along without her cane. So really, the only problem for her would be reading the lines.
"Coop, breathe more often, or your going to faint."
Sam shook her head, "now that he's started, he isn't going to stop. Sorry about that Micah. Hey, H.K., what are you going to try out for? Might as well get this out of the way." A bell went off in the classroom, reminding the students that they only had five minutes to get to their perspective classrooms before school started.
Kids began to pile into the room. Walking past their desks, and going to the right one with their stuff then walking around to talk. One kid tripped over Blair's cane, which was laying on the floor, in a position very hard to be able to trip over.
"Sorry!" Blair blurted out, feeling bad that she had caused the incident in advertedly. She leaned over to move the cane's position, only aware of the incident by the sound her desk made when hit by a person and a cane. The kid just said it's okay before walking off to his desk.

Micah felt his eyebrows arch as reality hit him. He did, however, managed to contain, the 'You're blind!' exclamation that so wanted to escape his lips. Really, what good would that do? Seriously, what could he say? 'Hey, you're blind! You know, in case you didn't know.' No, he wouldn't make such a blunt remark; instead he turned to H.K. "Coop? Why do you go by H.K., then?"
Jonathan paid no attention to Micah's question; he was already too deep in to his Tin Man vs. Scarecrow casting opportunities. "Both have their merits; while Scarecrow is given the most air time, the Tin Man has the most complex and memorable costume. Meanwhile, the Lion is quite possibly the most humorous of the play. It's impossible to choose..."
((Ugh... Typing and rereading emphasizes how rusty I am; it's been too long since I roleplayed.))

Sam rolled her eyes, "cause he's an idiot and is obsessed with the man that invented the internet." She didn't care to explain it... if Coop had actually heard her comment he would definitely start him on his rant.
Blair cocked her head for a moment. "I think the teacher is about to make it here in a couple seconds." And sure enough, the teacher slipped into the classroom, early from his meeting, so that there was a few minutes before the bell.
